1. Educational Tool — Not Professional Advice
SocWizard is an educational software tool designed to help you understand and prepare for SOC 2 compliance. It is not a licensed auditor, legal advisor, security consultant, or certified public accountant. Nothing on this site — including gap analyses, policy templates, AI responses, control recommendations, or any other content — constitutes legal, accounting, or professional compliance advice.
Before relying on any content from SocWizard for business, legal, or compliance purposes, you should consult with a qualified professional (such as a licensed CPA, SOC 2 auditor, or security consultant) who can evaluate your specific situation.
2. No Guarantee of Audit Readiness or Certification
Using SocWizard does not guarantee that you will pass a SOC 2 audit, receive a SOC 2 Type I or Type II report, or satisfy the requirements of any customer, partner, or regulatory body. SOC 2 certification is determined solely by independent licensed auditors. SocWizard has no affiliation with, and no authority over, any auditing firm or certifying body.
3. Policy Templates Are Starting Points
Any policy templates generated by SocWizard are provided as starting points only. They are based on general SOC 2 criteria and may not reflect the specific requirements of your industry, jurisdiction, data types, or auditor. You are responsible for reviewing, customizing, and approving all policies before use.
4. AI Advisor Limitations
The AI Advisor feature uses large language models to generate responses. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. You should independently verify any recommendations before acting on them. The AI Advisor does not have access to your internal systems, real-time data, or the ability to review your actual environment — it only has access to the information you have provided through the SocWizard interface.
5. Use at Your Own Risk
SocWizard is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs or security vulnerabilities.
Your use of SocWizard is at your sole risk. Reverential Inc. and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
6. Data & Privacy
Information you enter into SocWizard (including company details, answers to assessment questions, evidence files, and notes) is stored securely and used solely to power your experience within the tool. We do not sell your data to third parties. We use third-party services including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), and Neon (database hosting), each of which has its own privacy policy.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the application. Continued use of SocWizard after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
